Congratulations to Our June Star Award Winners!

Each month here at Old Thorns we host the Star Awards to recognise and acknowledge members of our team who are going above and beyond in their role. It's important for all our employees to feel valued and appreciated for their hard work.

All team members can nominate a colleague based on our core values.

This month's Star Award goes to Sam Harris, Membership Sales Executive, at Elevation Health Club!

"He has worked so hard and it has not gone unnoticed!" "He’s always happy to help if he’s not doing membership and is a great person to work with!"

What does a typical day look like for you?:
My days can vary! I spend a lot of my time assisting our current members and welcoming new ones too, this can involve a lot of admin, phone calls, emails and meeting with members face to face. I help out the rest of the team in lots of areas and also help to create new initiatives to intrigue potential members.

What do you love about working at Old Thorns?
Where do I start? There is so much I enjoy about working at Old Thorns, I love that every day is different, there is always something going on and I am certainly never bored. The people that work at Old Thorns and the members of Elevation Health Club really make here a great place to work, there is always a sense of energy around the hotel.

How did you feel when you were announced as this month's Star Award Winner?
Over the moon!

Every quarter, we recognise our fantastic managers around the resort, the award of Manager of the Quarter goes to Lottie Levin, Assistant Manager, at Oties.

"It's a pleasure to work with someone who has as much passion as she does, she is a credit to the hotel and I am thankful she is part of my team"

What does a typical day look like for you?:
Organising is my thing! I'm a very organised person, so I make sure everything is clean and tidy in Oties. During a typical day, I make sure the team is happy and everyone knows what they are doing. I like to make sure everything is running smoothly and most importantly that our Otie's customers are happy.

What do you love about working at Old Thorns?
I absolutely love it! I've only been here for a short time but I love it, I've never been happier in a job role. The people at Old Thorns and my team are so happy and smiley, and pink is my favourite colour, so working in Oties is a perfect match!

How did you feel when you were announced as the Manager of the Quarter?
Completely shocked! I really wasn't expecting to win the award of Manager of the Quarter, it makes me feel very appreciated and valued.
