Spring in Hampshire is a very special time, the local countryside comes to life and we see all the local wildlife again. We are very lucky to have many wonderful things to do year-round in our county, but in Spring there are a few things you simply can't miss!

At The End of April, Spot The Bluebells!

From the end of April to the beginning of May, you'll find Bluebells in the woodlands of Hampshire! Wondering where you can see these amazing bluebell displays when you stay at Old Thorns? Take a visit to Hollycombe near Liphook or in the grounds of Hinton Ampner.

See Baby Lambs Throughout the South Downs National Park

Nothing says spring like the influx of baby lambs in our local area, and in the South Downs, you'll come across plenty! Take a drive out to the countryside and see all the young lambs frolicking in the fields.

Goodwood Season Opener Race

Located in West Sussex Goodwood Racecourse and motor circuit is an extremely popular destination in the South. The first fixture takes place on the first weekend of May and is a great way to spend the Mayday weekend, get dressed up and take a visit to the races!

Petersfield Spring Festival

In the nearby market town of Petersfield, join their fantastic Spring festival which takes place on 25th - 27th May 2024. Expect great musicians, street food and stalls plus a fantastic atmosphere! You can easily get to Petersfield via train from Liphook or just a short drive.
