5 Hidden Gems at Old Thorns You Might Not Know About

Did you know we have a glamping village with 10 eco-pods? The perfect choice for a glamping adventure, our pods offer the comfort of the indoors with the fun of an outdoor camping trip. Our pod village also has a bathroom block with showers and toilets. The pods are an affordable and unique option, and are available to book as a Bed & Breakfast package. Tucked behind Elevation Health Club and the First Tee, you'll enjoy this escape under the trees!

Just before the Hampshire Suite, you'll find a delightful snug area that is part of the original house that Old Thorns was built on! If you look closely at the beams and the fireplace, you'll see that these have been preserved since Old Thorns was built in 1982. Offering a quiet area for wedding guests or hotel guests looking for a quiet spot.

Exclusively available to guests visiting us on a Spa Day or Spa Break, our VIP Sun Terrace is one of Old Thorn's hidden gems that you wouldn't stumble upon! Located in the Treatment Spa, the terrace offers an incredible view over the golf course, with comfy reclined loungers and a seating area. Our team also serve a selection of refreshing cold drinks here, so get your favourite book or magazine, pop your suncream and sunnies on and enjoy a well-deserved chill out!

As part of Elevation Health Club we have a fantastic Tennis Court! All guests are welcome to enjoy a round of tennis during their stay. You can hire tennis rackets and balls from the Elevation Health Club reception and embrace your inner Andy Murray, play singles or doubles and maybe one day you'll make it to Wimbledon.

If you look to the top of the driving range, you will see our wooden T-Rex sculpture!! An incredible sight to see and one you might not expect either, further down, you'll also spot two giraffe sculptures. (Please do not walk on the driving range) A previous owner of Old Thorns added a collection of beautiful sculptures and unique memorabilia which you can still see today dotted around the resort!
