Doggy Rules

At Old Thorns, we know that your dog is part of the family. Our pet policy has been designed to ensure your dog is catered for during your stay with us as well as ensuring the enjoyment of our other guests.

  • Owners/guests must contact the hotel in advance if they wish to bring a pet.
  • The breed and weight of the pet must be advised in advance.
  • The maximum size of pet we allow is that of the size of a standard Labrador.
  • All pets should be well-trained, well-mannered and disease-free with all standard UK vaccinations.
  • Guests are permitted to have a max of 2 pets in the dog-friendly room/apartment at any given time.
  • Guests are advised to bring their own dog food and accessories (bed, bowl etc).
  • The pet cannot be left alone in any room or apartment at any time.
  • A fee of £20 per dog, per night will be charged. There will also be an additional £50 pre-authorisation charge applied to the room. This charge will be released if the room is left in an acceptable manner.
  • Any stains or damages must be paid for.
  • Pets should be kept on a leash when in public areas.
  • Pets are not permitted in any food or beverage area, with the exception of hearing and guide dogs
  • Pets are not allowed in the Health Club, Spa or on the golf course.
  • Guests are asked to pick up any deposits left by the pet immediately.
  • Old Thorns staff are not responsible in any way for your pet and should not be asked to supervise, feed, or walk your pet.
  • Should your dog persistently disturb other guests, or you do not adhere to any point within this policy, you may be asked to remove your pet from the premises. You will be responsible for any other charges relating to any transportation or kennel charges you incur and no refund is available.
