Please note that our gym and wellness facilities cannot be used by under 18s. Children’s swim times are 10:00am – 12:00pm & 3:00pm – 5:00pm every day. Weekends and Bank Holidays 10:00am – 1:00pm & 3:00pm – 5:00pm.
Pre-booking is not required for pool and wellness suite use. Hotel guests have access to the pool and wellness suite from check-in on the day of arrival until check-out on the day of departure. Guests booked onto one of our Spa Break packages (with treatments included) can access the facilities from 10:00am on the day of arrival until 2:00pm on the day of departure.
The use of these facilities is on a first come, first served basis. Our team have put measures in place for the use of facilities to be as fair as possible. However, there is no guarantee of availability, and no financial reimbursement will be available for these facilities being unavailable or fully booked.
Some facilities may not be available during your visit, management reserve the right to close facilities without reimbursement.

Our Full-English breakfast buffet, cooked using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, is the perfect start to your morning. If you fancy something a bit lighter, there is a full continental option, offering pastries, fruits, yoghurts and cereals.
A 2-course dinner is included in this spa break and is served from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Our Carvery menu will be in effect for overnight stays on Sundays. Please note, a supplement may apply for some dishes.
When Booking Spa Break directly, your room will be ready from 3:00pm so please visit reception after this time to collect your room key.
With spa breaks, your room will need to be vacated by 11:00am. Your room card should be returned to reception on check-out. Should you wish to store anything after checking out, please inform our reception team.
Spa Break Deposit & Payment Policy
All spa bookings require full payment at time of booking. The lead booker is responsible for the entire reservation, all payment and correspondence to be made by the lead booker only.
Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance of arrival date will be charged administration fee of £35 per person. Cancellations made between 30 and 7 days 50% of total cost. Less than 7 days 100% charge.
All cancelled bookings with more than 48 hours’ notice will be subject to a 10% fee of the total amount. If less than 48 hours’ notice of cancellation is given you will be charged 100% of the total booking fee.
Cancellations made within 48-hour notice or for non-arrivals at allotted time, will be charged in full.
No refunds either in part or full can be processed for early departure.
Reservations may be rescheduled with 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. A new reservation date must be given at the time of rescheduling, or it will be considered a cancellation and any prepayment is lost. Once moved the booking is moved it will become completely non refundable and will not be able to be moved again.
Third-party bookings must be amended or cancelled through the original agent. We are unable to amend, cancel or refund reservations made via third parties e.g. Spa Breaks, Spa Seekers, or Hotel & Spa Breaks. Please contact the party with whom the reservation was originally made to discuss the terms of your booking.
Old Thorns Spa has a strict over 16’s policy. When booking a spa package, please note all spa guests must be aged 16 or over. No individuals under the age of 16 will be permitted to attend.
If you are staying on a Sunday Night or on a Bank Holiday your inclusive treatments will be taken on the following day. Bank Holidays are charged at the weekend rate.
Please be aware when staying on a Sunday night, the dinner included will be a carvery option.

If you prefer not to be treated by a male therapist, please inform us before your arrival.
