Job Overview:

· To assist with the upkeep of the golf course and surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

· To carry out course maintenance operations as directed by line manager including: switching / brushing / mowing all playing surfaces to a high and presentable standard scarifying/verti cutting and aerating turf applying nutrition and top dressing
· repairing divots
· establishing turf / rolling turf
· maintaining bunkers
· To set up the golf course in accordance with the rules of golf i.e. changing holes, moving tee markers and marking of hazards, out of bounds and g.u.r
· To establish and maintain plants, trees and shrubs
· To maintain golf course furniture and signage
· To identify weeds, pests, plants, grasses, turf disorders and diseases on the golf course
· To measure green speed, interpret and report results
· Keep management informed in a timely manner on conditions that will affect the game of golf
· To assist with the upkeep the resort grounds as required
· To use and maintain all machinery in a professional manner and ensure it is correctly stored following use
· To report any equipment requiring maintenance or repair
· To ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times
· To ensure all work is completed to a high standard
· To report any safety hazards to Management
· To maintain good interdepartmental communications, ensure teamwork and positive relationships with co-workers and management
· To co-operate with Management and assist with any reasonable request
· To maintain a presentable appearance at all times, conforming to uniform requirements and to ensure a high level of personal hygiene
· To attend and contribute to periodical meetings and training when necessary
· To know and carry out responsibilities in the case of fire and as an individual under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
· To maintain the highest standards of confidentiality
· To act as an ambassador of the company at all times promoting awareness of the Company’s services and good reputation
