From start to finish, we want to make your visit to Old Thorns as pleasant as possible. So we have created some FAQs to help answer the most common questions you may have.


Directions by car
Old Thorns is located just minutes from the A3 on Longmoor Road.

On the A3 Liphook-Petersfield by-pass take the exit for Griggs Green. Continue for approximately half a mile before taking a right turn at the sign post for Old Thorns. You will pass the Deer’s Hut pub on the left hand side. Continue to the end of the driveway where you will find the main car park.


What are the check-in and check-out times?
Our standard check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 11am. Some of our packages may include early check-in so if you’re unsure please check your confirmation email.


Do you have room service?
We offer room service in our hotel rooms.

When can I check in?
Your apartment will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless early check-in is provided as part of your package. Your apartment key card can be collected from the main reception desk.


When can I book a pool time?
Spa package guests can book any time after paying a deposit for their booking – call spa team to book on 01428 738 540. Hotel guests only 48 hours in advance – call elevation team to book.


What are the tee time intervals?
We set our tee times out in 10 minute intervals.

Bars and Restaurants

What bar and restaurant options are at Old Thorns?
We offer a variety of different dining options to suit every taste including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and dessert! Food is served in our Kings restaurant, Sports bar and Oties diner and you can also go for a drink in our champagne bar.


Can guests get a discounted rate on rooms?
The rate and number of discounted rooms that have been reserved for wedding guests depends on what the couple have arranged with our weddings team. The best way to proceed is to contact our reservations team with the couple's name and then that can advise what the rate and availability is

Health Club

Can I use the health club facilities?
Health club facilities are included in your stay, unless your package states otherwise. You may prebook a maximum of one pool session and one gym session per day of your stay. Booking opens 48 hours in advance and sessions are offered on a first come first served basis. Please arrive for your session promptly. If you are over 10 minutes late to your booked session it may be given to another guest on our wait list.

All facilities and activities are subject to availability and offered on a first come first served basis. No financial reimbursement is provided for them being fully booked or unavailable.
